Call for Papers

2016 Annual Meeting
St. Petersburg Beach, Florida
November 2-5

Submission Period Extended to October 30, 2015

Papers on any aspect or  period of European history are welcome. The program committee especially encourages full panel proposals involving comparative history, such as Europe and the Americas, Europe and Africa, or Europe and Asia.

Panels should consist of two or three papers, a commentator, and a chair. Doctoral students, as well as faculty members and independent scholars are welcome to submit individual papers or panels. However, a panel should not consist exclusively of graduate students.

Individual paper submissions must include an abstract of approximately 250 words for each paper and a short (1-2 page) c.v. of each panelist. Submissions for full panels should include a 250-word abstract of each paper, a short c.v. from each participant, and a short  description (250-500 words) of the overarching topic or theme of the panel with a working panel title as well as the full name, affiliation, and email address of the panel organizer.

Proposals must be received by October 30, 2015 to be considered for the 2016 Program. Panelists must be current members of the EHS at the time of the 2015 Annual Meeting.

Please submit proposals electronically to:
